Greg first traveled to Antarctica in 2007 and has returned regularly since. In 2003, he co-founded polar travel company Chimu Adventures and led it until selling to Intrepid Travel in 2019. A fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, he has guided and led numerous Antarctic voyages.

Before founding Terra Nova Expeditions, Greg was CCO at Albatros Expeditions, overseeing global sales and marketing. Since 2012, he’s been actively involved with the Mawson’s Huts Foundation, supporting fundraising and expedition planning to preserve Antarctica’s historic heritage.

Chief Financial Officer

Nick, originally from Brisbane, Australia started his career at Ernst and Young and held senior management roles at Thomson Reuters and British American Tobacco, co-founded Agora Brazil Travel in 2012.

Nick’s brings his passion for travel with his finance expertise and invaluable experience of the South American tourism industry to Terra Nova from his base in Rio de Janeiro

Head of Global Sales

Ross is an Australia-born travel professional based in Canada, with nearly a decade as Sales and Customer Service Director for North America at Aurora Expeditions. He brings extensive international experience across Australia, the UK and North America.
He holds an MBA and a Master of Research in Antarctic Tourism, combining commercial leadership with expertise in polar and sustainable travel.

Ross joins Terra Nova as Global Head of Sales, where he will focus on strengthening trade partnerships, growing brand awareness and driving commercial performance.

Andrea, originally from Hungary specialises in communications and customer relations for cruise and polar tourism, offering tailored solutions to enhance growth and brand visibility. With a strong background in branding and strategy, she provides strategic support for long-term success. Her in-depth knowledge of polar operations gained from her 5 years at Albatros Expeditions and guest experience brings valuable expertise to our back office.

Operations Manager

California raised, Amanda developed a love for the ocean that has helped to shape her career working around the globe. She has spent over a decade guiding expeditions in Antarctica, the Arctic and many regions in between.

During her downtime, she enjoys spending time in nature with her husband, two beautiful children, and chocolate lab.

As the founder of Ocean Youth Academy, a polar education focused non-profit, Amanda brings her expertise, business experience, and heart to her role as Operations Manager at Terra Nova Expeditions.

Passenger Experience and Reservations Manager
North America/Europe

Originally from the UK, Ann has been helping travelers enjoy off the beaten path adventures for over 10 years, starting as an Adventure Travel Specialist, and working with expedition cruise and custom private travel companies. 
Her career includes leading sales teams, building strong partnerships with travel partners, and working directly with travelers to build the perfect adventure. From her base in Canada, Ann is keen to encourage travelers to bring out their inner adventurer.  You will find Ann kayaking on rivers and lakes, biking on trails, and walking her dog on the beach.

Based on Australia’s Great Ocean Road, Lauren McDougall works within the reservations and customer experience team, supporting guests as they plan and prepare for their journeys. With an academic background in Environmental Science and Geography, she brings a strong interest in natural environments and responsible travel to her role.

Hailing from Southern California, Claire specializes in shooting and editing commercial content for creative and tourism industry projects, working with teams to highlight unique cruising experiences while maintaining high production standards and adhering to deadlines and brand guidelines. Claire now joins Terra Nova Expeditions as Marketing and Partnership Assistant, excited to showcase the wonders of Antarctica.

Advisor and Consultant

Former Creative Director at AKQA and Callcott, Patrick developed campaigns for global brands like Ray-Ban, Microsoft, and Nike, and as an entrepreneur, founded and led three startups, including mobile company Chirp,; the great-grandson of Sir Ernest Shackleton, Patrick was also the first person to cross Antarctica in a wheeled vehicle, traveling from Union Glacier to the Ross Sea via the South Pole. Patrick is based in London, United Kingdom.
